We just crossed the border into Chile following an off-road jeep expedition to the giant salt flats of Bolivia.
The flats were a disorientating expanse of reflective white. Geyser fields dotted the landscape: we wandered amongst them in some peril as super-heated mud and steam erupted randomly around us - safety standards need a little work... The dry and dusty trip ended at a geothermal hotsprings where we soaked our battered bones - bliss!
