Boarding the Trans-Siberian Express

Leg one of the journey from Europe into Asia involves 4 days on a train from Moscow to Irkutsk, deep in Siberia.

Light relief comes from the 20-30 minute stops every 3-4 hours when the platforms are filled with Babushkas (Russian grandmothers) selling smoked fish, eggs and various other interesting tit-bits for the journey.
